What is a
Facebook application?
Facebook allows third-party applications, like MessageDance, to reside
on
the Facebook platform, providing a greater integration with their user
base. More
information can be found on Facebook about it.

How is
MessageDance in Facebook different than MessageDance on other sites?
Not only do you have a MessageDance widget on
your
Facebook profile page, but you also have MessageDance features
contained within Facebook itself. On the image below, you can see a
MessageDance icon on the left sidebar. When clicked, this will take you
to the MessageDance pages within Facebook.

From here, you can see all
of your messages and the public timeline (same as MessageStream
on MessageDance.com). You can
also invite your Facebook friends to add MessageDance to their Facebook
applications list. By inviting friends through Facebook, you are not
actually inviting them to be MessageDance friends -- just to add the
application. You will need to invite them as MessageDance friends from
MessageDance.com using their email addresses. We have plans to change
this in the near future to seamlessly add Facebook friends as
MessageDance friends.

How
do I add MessageDance to Facebook?
Automatically
add
MessageDance to your Facebook profile now. You can also search within
Facebook in their Application
Directory for MessageDance and add it from there.
Sign-in
(or register) to MessageDance from within Facebook.
Click
on the link for your profile and you will see your MessageDance widget
on your profile. You can drag the widget to either side of the profile
page and up and down.

Can I
send messages to MessageDance using Facebook messaging?
Yes you can! If you have added MessageDance as an application to
Facebook, you can send messages to other MessageDance users
(including all
of your friends), your
Twitter account, your
blog, and to yourself.
Sharing links and attaching Graffiti is not supported.
|
How do
I send photos to my Facebook Photos section?
You can
send photos
directly into your Facebook Photos section of your profile by
addressing your email to "photo @ messagedance.com" (or photos@). This
is the native Facebook Photos section, not the MessageDance
application. This works really well from an iPhone. You will need to
have MessageDance as an application on Facebook for this to work.
We will soon expand this function to have your photos go to other sites
such as Flickr.

How can I
write a blog post using Facebook?
If you have a WordPress or Blogger blog, you can
create a blog entry using your Facebook Inbox message center. Just
write your blog post and address your message to "blog @
messagedance.com" (or blogs@). Sharing
links and attaching Graffiti is not supported.

You'll need to first configure
MessageDance to send the blog post to your blog. And of
course, you'll need to have MessageDance as an application on Facebook.
|
Can I
invite Facebook friends from within Facebook to MessageDance?
Yes you can. From the third tab in MessageDance within Facebook, you
can see which friends do not have MessageDance yet. It is important to
note that if you invite friends to try out MessageDance from Facebook, this is not an invitation from
you to connect as MessageDance friends. You need to invite
them from within MessageDance still.
