You can share YouTube videos and have them go to all of the social
sites you hang out. From YouTube.com, you can directly share videos to
your friends' social sites (and yours, including Twitter). You can even
write a blog entry from YouTube.com and have it post to WordPress and
Blogger. When you send YouTube videos, MessageDance renders the full
video, so when your friends click on the message, they'll see the video
and not just a link.
To embed videos into your email
message, copy
and paste the "embed" code from YouTube (or other service that
has embed code available). If you have a video as a file, you
can just attach it to your email and share it that way.
When you see a video you want to share, click on the "Share" link. In
the "To" field, you can put in your MessageDance email address, (or
other MessageDance friend), "tweet @ messagedance.com", and even
"friends @ messagedance.com". The video will go to all of the
destinations you have MessageDance with one click back to MessageDance
to see it in full viewable form (not just a hyperlink). Be sure you are
logged into YouTube and you have previously put your YouTube username
in your Social
Profile (see next answer below).
Here's a video that explains it all:
What
set up is needed to share videos from YouTube.com?
Put your YouTube username into your Social Profile and click Update for
enabling the YouTube Share feature.
How do I make a
blog post?
Using the YouTube Share feature, you can create
a new blog entry by using "blog @ messagedance.com" (or blogs@) as the
share email.
You can accept the tags that are already on the video to pass to your
blog post or you can create your own by using "dancetags". Check
out the Help
Section for setting up blogging with MessageDance for the
complete set up and blog creation instructions.
