Senior Technical Lead
Risk Technology

The Risk Technology group provides technical support and development
solutions for the firm's corporate Risk Management business covering
Market Risk, Credit Risk and Operational Risk.
The Risk Architecture Group is a newly formed group whose
responsibilities include the development of a strategic target state
architecture for the risk platforms (market, credit an operational
risk), and an interim roadmap for getting there. The three streams
that we will be considering are: Technical Architecture, covering
products and platforms; Application Architecture, covering systems and
components; and Information Architecture, covering information sources
and stores. Additionally, the group has a mandate to develop a culture
of architecture within Risk Technology. This will be accomplished
through a set of architecture forums, engagement with enterprise
architecture and an oversight program for new initiatives.
The group is looking for a Senior Technical Lead to focus on
Application and Technical Architecture. The individual will have
responsibility to drive the following initiatives:
develop a program to document current state architecture
(application and technical)
participate in the development of use cases and requirements for
future state
develop set of architectural goals principals within Risk
develop programs that engage technologists across the Risk
organization to help define and progress our architectural goals
develop target future state blueprints at the application
architecture level
o partner with enterprise architecture areas
develop roadmap for convergence on technical architecture
The individual should have the following experience and skills
Minimum 10 years experience leading systems development in the finance
industry
Some experience in an architecture role
Experience with enterprise risk applications would be preferred
Experience with SOA and J2EE architectures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership skills ability to motivate and organize; shape and
communicate a shared vision across the organization
Familiarity with architecture and system modeling tools, such as UML
