@asksam I figured it out. I didn't see the very plainly labeled "Manage Profile" link :) But, FWIW, I think you should be able to change whether or not your real name is shown to the world (or if only part of it is).

Manage Profile -> Account Name : For changing First Name, Last name
Manage Profile -> Social Attitude : For Age, Location, Punch Line, Custom Messages on your profile.

Agree with your requirement on letting users decide if they want to show their real name on the public profile. For now it is mandatory.
