Last week we got to see how real rock stars do it! Back stage with Poison in Tampa and 8000 people in the stands! What a blast!
Last Wednesday at Coyotes, we had twice as many people show up for the Singer/ Songwriter/ Showcase. I'd like to thank Grumpy Al who brought his one man band keyboard and played some really cool songs he has written over the years. Doyle, Steve, and Bob from In Visible Ink, played a bunch of their songs. Amy Lucey came down with Sunniland Steve. Clem from Background Check sat in on bass with me. Frankie Cisco, who runs the Hustler Jam on Monday nights played for a while and Chuck Thayer from AK40/XBand even brought his guitar and played till we had to yank him off the stage at closing time.
I've received many emails from other people who said they would be coming this week. This is a chance for us to develop an original venue and we should really support Laura, the owner of Coyote's, for giving us a great opportunity. Let's show our appreciation by coming down in droves with our guitars and friends in tow.
The Coyote Bar & Grille is at the corner of A1A and Eau Gallie Blvd. If you want to play/sing, contact Jon at jxxxx@xxxcom. Or just show up.
We're getting more and more interest about the Musicians Swap Meet on Saturday, September 27th, at the Cocoa Beach Country Club Pavilion. Tables are $25 and we only have 30, so don't delay. Start pulling out all that unused equipment and music related items. We've spoken to several music teachers who are going to pass the word to their students. We plan on hitting all the schools in Brevard County. Bob Rish has been an incredible help with spreading the word on Space Coast Live. Every musician in Brevard County owes him and Warren Dodd a huge debt of gratitude for creating the finest musicians and venues website I have ever seen anywhere in the country.
