Gwen Stefan has given birth to a baby boy named Zuma. We were initially relying onE! Online's report that she gave birth this morning and that the baby's name is Zuma, but that they weren't sure about the gender of the newborn. I assumed it was a girl given the name. It turns out that it's a boy named Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale.

I am tepid on the name Zuma for a little girl, but it seems kind of off for a boy. That name sounds like one of those jagged word clouds that would pop up during a fight on the old Batman TV show. It's an onomatopia, not a name, but it's kind of cute and not stigmatizing. There are certainly worse celebrity baby names. I wasn't fond of "Birdie," either, but many of you pointed out that it's a perfectly common and acceptable name.

According to Think Baby Names, Zuma is a very rare name and is a variant ofZulema, which means peace. Gwen and husband Gavin Rossdale's first child, Kingston, two, is thought to be named after the capital of Jamaica, which may have been where he was conceived.

She was seen drinking champagne and hanging all over the female DJ. When it came time to stagger hometo her hotel she shed a hair extension to the delight of the photographers waiting to capture the moment.

The Telegraph reports that Kate is thought to be headed to Majorca this weekend for a getaway with her boyfriend, Jamie Hince of The Kills. The vacation is said to have been a gift from Topshop's CEO. Moss' 6th line of clothing, a summer line, is now out at the retail store.

The woman that Shania Twain's husband of 14 years allegedly cheated with, his secretary Marie-Anne Thiébaud, was a close friend of Shania's family. People has a new story about the affair complete with a picture of Shania and the other woman, and says that "Shania considered Marie-Anne one of her best friends" and that their families even vacationed together.

It's been pretty clear to me from the start of this Shania Twain divorce story that Shania's camp is behind the leaks to People Magazine. People does not seem likely to run "insider" stories with such conviction unless they have news directly from someone's rep. Now that they have a picture of the other woman with Shania it definitely looks like she's the one feeding them information and details on her divorce. It's as if Shania is holding up the mistress for public condemnation and as a comparison to how gorgeous she is, because they're standing right next to each other in the photo.

And can you blame her? She must be livid that this was going on right under her nose. There's been some speculation that Shania Twain and her husband haven't had sex in some time, because she's said to practice a religion called "Sant Mat," that supposedly does not allow sex except for procreation. (Thanks to commenter "Other Karen" forthis article, written by People Magazine in 2002.) I couldn't verify that Sant Mat actually has this abstinence requirement of followers, though, nor is there any confirmation that Shania continues to practice it more than five years after she gave that interview to People.

If you were in Shania's position, would you tell the press all about how your husband betrayed you along with providing a photo of his new mistress to illustrate your point? I can't say it wouldn't occur to me.

A new Britney Spears sex tape is set to be released.

The footage allegedly features Britney, 26, stripping off naked apart from a pink wig, and romping with ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib.

The paparazzi photographer is reportedly trying to sell the full two-hour version, which is said to contain twenty minutes of full sex after a long session of foreplay, to the highest bidder.

A source said: "The video starts with Britney undressing. She was wearing some cheap clothes. The sex wasn't particularly kinky but Britney wears a pink wig throughout.

May 18, 2008 -- JANICE Dickinson just can't keep her opinions to herself. The mouthy mannequin tells Page Six she has a bone to pick with Tyra Banks, that Kevin Federline is a "pig," and thatSimon Cowell is the hottest guy in Hollywood.

Dickinson told us she recently "flipped out" when she saw a paparazzi photo of Banks in a magazine carrying a copy of Dickinson's book, "No Lifeguard on Duty," in which she writes about sex, drug use, incest, celebrity affairs and her near-fatal car wreck some years back.

Dickinson showed us the torn-out magazine photo with a caption saying Banks was on her way to speak with young girls and offer her advice.

"And she's using my book," Dickinson fumed. "I mean, the thing looks so worn it's like she's been reading it on the toilet. It's pathetic. Where's her originality? Does she have no shame?" Dickinson, who's in talks with NBC for her own chat show, said she'll invite Banks on to confront her.

Next, she said Federline "makes me sick. His earlobes are stretched out from all the diamonds he stole from Britney Spears. He's a pig and a loser and I want to take him down."

On Dickinson's good side is "American Idol" judge Cowell - "the hottest thing on TV. The guy's a-- is finally not hanging off the back of his kneecaps," she said of the new, leaner Cowell.

Dickinson, 53, also dished to us about her menopause. "I'm taking hormone pills and I mix them up, I'm like falling asleep standing up," she laughed. "I'm having night flashes and heat strokes."

Nick Hogan gets 8 months in jail

Nick Bollea (a.k.a. Nick Hogan) was sentenced to eight months in Florida County Jail today after pleading no contest to charges of felony reckless driving. Wow, a book finally got thrown at a celeb that deserved it. Check out the details fromPeople:

In addition to the jail time, which begins immediately, Bollea, 17, was sentenced to 5 years probation, during which he will serve 500 hours of community service, not be allowed to drink any alcohol and have his driver's license revoked for 3 years.
"I think there is an understanding of what happened, and there is a sense of acceptance of responsibility," the judge said, explaining his decision. "There is nothing that the court can impose that is close to what John has dealt with or will have to deal with as he moves forward."
Leaving the courthouse, Bollea's family did not address reporters. His attorneys did say that Bollea was "happy" with the sentence, and happy that the case was finished.
