Well, what have we here? Newly single George Clooney looks like he already has some Lake Como companionship. Of course, this lady could be anyone — friend? friend's wife? just a visitor? — but you have to admit that this is just the level of juicy photos that perfectly round out a Friday afternoon! This female in question (and inciting jealousy in women everywhere) was spotted in Clooney's Lake Como house yesterday afternoon. We saw him boating with a buddy earlier, and apparently he's beenenjoying some golf games and general relaxation time while in Italy – no word about this visitor in particular. Hey, even if it's nothing romantic, that's not a bad place to be!

George Clooney broke up with his model girlfriend, Sarah Larson, shortly after she had a breast augmentation in mid-May. Was surgery the final straw in their already fractured relationship? "George really didn't want her to get the boob job," an insider says. But she needed a place to rest after the operation. "She asked George if she could do her recovery at his house and he agreed," says the insider. Although the couple made a last appearance together at a Metropolitan Museum of Art gala on May 5 in New York, the relationship was already on the rocks. "He wanted to break up with her but she had an Armani gown custom-made," says the insider. "He didn't want to be a jerk, so he took her to be nice." But the romance lasted just a few more weeks.

Despite the split, the 29-year-old former cocktail waitress is pleased with her new look. Revealing no signs of heartache, Sarah showed off her curvier figure at the Palms Place Hotel and Spa opening in Las Vegas on May 31. "She likes her new body so much that she would consider posing for Playboy," says a friend. And having dated a huge star, she shouldn't have any problems getting work. "Now that she's famous, she'd never go back to cocktailing," the pal says.

George Clooney and his girlfriend Sarah Larson have split up after a year of dating, a source tells PEOPLE.

The actor's rep, Stan Rosenfield, would only say: "We do not comment on George's personal life."

The pair initially met in Las Vegas nearly four years ago, when Larson, a onetime Fear Factor winner, was a cocktail server at The Whiskey Bar. But it wasn't until the pair met for the second time in June 2007 in Las Vegas that sparks flew.

Larson, 29, and Clooney, 47, made their public debut together at the Venice and Deauville film festivals last September. Later that month, the twosome were injured in a motorcycle accident.

Earlier this year, Larson accompanied Clooney to the Oscars – the first girlfriend ever to go with him to the event.

Page Six says, Clooney, who discounts the possibility one of his pals played a joke on him - "It's not a prank - none of my friends would do that" - called in the fuzz. With the help of his rent-a-cop chauffeur, he had the caller's number traced to a pre-paid cellphone, then tried to find out if the suspect had paid by credit card to pin him down. But the investigation apparently dead-ended.

This sounds like a really high-tech cockblock if you ask me. I think the caller was probably just jealous after seeing Sarah Larson party in a thong. I wouldn't waste too much time investigating George, I for one say keep the hottie.

Clooney to bring Hollywood to Kentucky

For one night, Maysville will be Hollywood along the Ohio River, thanks to George Clooney.

The 46-year-old actor-director will visit the northern Kentucky town on Monday night for a special screening of his new movie, Leatherheads, said his father Nick Clooney.

"The whole town is abuzz," said Maysville Mayor David Cartmell.

Clooney, who won an Oscar for his role in Syriana, grew up in the town of Augusta, about 25 kilometres west of Maysville.

The setting has special significance for the Clooney family.

In 1953, The Stars Are Singing, starring Rosemary Clooney, George Clooney's aunt, premiered in Maysville.

"He knows all about that, and he is very interested in kind of connecting the dots as far as family history," Nick Clooney said.

"He thinks that would be kind of cool for the family, and one hopes for the town, too."

Nick and Rosemary Clooney were born in Maysville.

George Clooney was born in Lexington, and the family moved several times before settling in Augusta.

Leatherheads, which also stars Renee Zellweger, is a romantic comedy set in the world of 1920s professional football.

The film will be in theatres April 4.

The movie will be shown at the Washington Opera Theatre.

Cartmell said Monday night's screening will probably be the biggest event in the town of about 9000 since the premiere of The Stars Are Singing.

It will also be the hottest ticket in town.

Nick Clooney said about 300 seats will be available.

The opera house seats about 450 people, but equipment needed to show the movie will take up space in the balcony, he said.

Cartmell said he expects the town to catch Hollywood fever.

"Next week, we'll be Hollywood on the Ohio," he said.

Just because George Clooney has an Oscar, two Sexiest Man Alive titles and a surprisingly functional romance, that doesn't mean he's about to take himself too seriously. In the April issue of Esquire, the debonair A-lister gamely agrees to a Google search session to check out a few of the rumors circulating about him.

One of the items that pops up is a Facebook group headlined, "George Clooney is NOT the sexiest man alive," which solicits members by declaring, "That man is so full of himself it isn't funny. Anyways join this group if you totally agree with me."

Clooney, who is out stumping for his forthcoming football flick "Leatherheads," responds by having the interviewer post the following comment: "That's bulls**t. He looks great for a 70-year-old."

Another site they stumble across labels Clooney "gay, gay, gay," prompting him to protest, "No, I'm gay, gay. The third gay -- that was pushing it."

Also pushing it: Rumblings out of Britain that he's popped the question to Sarah Larson, whose steady squeeze status was solidified last month when she walked the red carpet at the Oscars on his arm, the first girlfriend to be granted the honor.

According to the rumor mill, the commitment-avoiding actor, 46, is planning to tie the knot with the doe-eyed brunette, 28, at his villa in Lake Como, Italy, this summer.

"They haven't made any announcement yet, but there are people in this town who know more than me," claims a local restaurant staffer. "They say the couple are already engaged."

But Clooney's rep brushes this off as wishful matrimonial thinking, pooh-poohing to Us, "There is no truth to any element of the story."

The actor, who first stepped out with the former Sin City cocktail hostess last September, also downplayed the "I do" talk to Esquire after the interviewer pointed out how a psychic predicted he'd take a wife this year.

"I think that wedding one is a bit ahead of its time," he says.

Especially since he's keeping a spot in his heart open for buddy Brad Pitt (given the right conditions, of course): "Well, you know, if I was a girl and he was a girl, and I was a lesbian and he was a lesbian, I'd be all over him."

Clooney also makes light of his surreal scuffle with flowing-locked ex margarine pitchman Fabio, who boasted he could take him in a fight.

"Yeah, that's probably true. He's a big guy," he laughs. "There is a moment when you are actually in the argument and you're thinking, 'If I do get beaten down by Fabio, that will be far worse than the pain. I wouldn't shake that.'"

What he can shake is Donald Trump's assessment that, despite his 5-foot-11-inch frame, he's vertically deficient.

"I saw Donald Trump on Larry King and he was saying, 'Clooney is a very short guy. I mean he's a tiny guy.' I've met Donald Trump once, and I was sitting at a table," explains the megastar to the magazine. "He came over, shook my hand, and walked away. I guess I looked about three foot five sitting at that table."

As for Rupert Everett declaring the "Ocean's" film franchise a "cancer to world culture," Clooney wonders, "Where did that come from? You kind of go, Dude, weren't you in 'Dunston Checks In'?"
